'Chasing the Witch' Book Review

Chasing the Witch

After the events of Mark of the Witch, Jilly at last begins to breathe easier though her powers are still growing. But can she harness them in time to confront a new chain of events that threatens to change everything?

Caroline has finally accepted her life as a witch, but when a stranger comes into her life she's forced to question her family loyalty.

The sisters are thrown together to protect a young girl from the enemy determined to hunt her down. Can they save her -- and themselves?

**My thoughts**

I have been waiting for this book to come out! I was excited when this sequel to Mark of the Witch was finally available and Jessica book a tour for it! I have to say that I loved the first one, because it was about the sisters learning about their powers. I liked this one a lot, but it was slower for me. It felt more about their everyday lives, with some of the magic and danger sprinkled in. A lot of the story seemed to be played out in dialogue as opposed to action. The love story between Will and Jilly has gone to a new level, though. He seems almost too good to be true!

Nevertheless, there were plenty of twists and turns and I enjoyed reading it. Some of the returning characters make you despise them even more. Some of them may surprise you as more of their nature is revealed. New faces are loveable. Another darn cliffhanger is going to have me bugging Jessica for the sequel!

Note: While you may enjoy this book on its own, you will really want to read the first book in the series to fully understand what is going on!
