**My thoughts**
I was so excited to go back to Three Springs, Texas. I fell in love with the small town in the first book and even more so in this book. But don't worry, you do not need to have read the first book to appreciate this one.
Paige and Evan both come from broken-hearted backgrounds and are not quick to trust anyone in the love department. And yet from the very beginning, they are drawn to each other and you know that they are the missing pieces from each other's puzzles. You know that Evan's daughter Riley also senses it with how quickly she takes to Paige, even though she really wants to find her bio mom. And then the same with the animals on Evan's ranch.
I appreciated their slow burn as they cautiously got to know each other and found some common ground thanks to the animals. Those are the kinds of relationships that are built to last. And at the same time, they both grew so much.
I also enjoyed catching up with old friends from The Texas SEAL's Surprise. There are plenty of great people in this small town. Their quirks are what make them so charming. And I'm already looking forward to the next book.
