'Dark Passing (The Ella Reynolds Series)' Book Tour

Dark Passing (The Ella Reynolds Series)

Mary Nelson’s murder shocked the small town of Jackson. The vibrant, young college student disappeared on her way home. A week later her body was found in the trunk of a burning car. No suspects. No evidence. No case.

Ella Reynolds’ life had finally turned around. With a new book released, the past safely tucked away, and a burgeoning romance, she begins to live again. Then a plea from a woman whose daughter’s murder remains unsolved ignites Ella’s curiosity—and drags her back into the dark world she fought so desperately to escape.

Curiosity turns to obsession as Ella inches closer to the truth—and the murderer begins to claim new victims.

**My thoughts**

I was excited for the opportunity to review this book. I had heard many good things about Liz Schulte's writing. I downloaded the first book in the series over the summer when it was free. This blog tour prompted me to shove it to the top of my TBR pile, and I'm glad I did. I was completely engrossed in the first book and excited to have the second one immediately on hand.

This one was also intriguing, though not as creepy and scary as the first one. I did feel the hairs on the back of my neck prickle on occasion. Yes, there are a couple of ghosts, but this one focuses more on the murder mystery. Ella is much stronger now that her trials in the first book have ended. Her new strength serves her well as she tries to help a mother find answers to the puzzle of her daughter's murder. She also seems smarter and is definitely sassier.
