Hired to protect her
…unable to resist her
The job sounds simple: teach a businessman’s daughter how to stay safe. But former navy SEAL turned bodyguard Kyle Frasier has a personal motive, too. Harper Jansen is his late best friend’s fiancée. Loyalty demands he protect her, not that Harper looks in need of rescuing. In fact, it’s Kyle who needs help—balancing duty with his desire to build a life with the one woman he shouldn’t want…
After Harper's father is attacked, former Navy SEAL Kyle is hired to be her bodyguard. He is always very tense, has an estranged relationship with his family, and always follows the rules. She is a very carefree photographer who also always charms everyone around her. You know that opposites attract and that often these bodyguards and subjects are going to fall for each other. And they are actually very good for each other, providing a balance. They build a very strong friendship, which is most important. And then you want them to build on that friendship as you see how they are able to make each other better people.
There's a fun twist with Harper's ex-boyfriend being one of Kyle's best friends and the truth of both of their pasts being revealed, as at least far as Owen was concerned.
It was a fun, sweet romance to read.
